Primary Care in North Port, FL
Looking for a Family Doctor in North Port?
If you plan to use health insurance, a traditional medical practice may be the right fit. Many offer large provider networks, on-site laboratory and imaging services, and streamlined referrals to specialists.
But perhaps you don’t have insurance? Or perhaps you're simply looking for a different kind of healthcare experience.
That's where Careborne Sensible Medical comes in.
Our philosophy is simple: treat every patient the way we'd want our own family to be treated: with kindness, patience, and respect.
We don't rush visits. We don't hide our prices. There are no monthly membership fees or long-term commitments. Just transparent, affordable care from a provider who takes the time to listen, explain, and help you make informed decisions.
Whether you need treatment for a common illness, help managing a chronic condition, a medication refill, behavioral health support, or even a work note, we're here for you – in North Port and, when appropriate, online.
And before you spend a single dollar, let's make sure we're the right fit.
Every new patient is welcome to a free phone consultation. If we don't believe we can help, we'll tell you honestly. You'll save your time, your money, and a trip across town. If we can't help you, you pay nothing.
Call 941-525-9000 or click Request Care to get started.
We look forward to meeting you.

Questions about Virtual Primary Care?
Who can use Virtual Primary Care?
What makes you different from my previous doctors?
Our board-certified doctors and nurse practitioners aren't rushed, and that changes everything. Without the constraints of a typical 10-minute visit, we actually have time to listen ... and to help you find treatment options that are realistic for your life, not just clinically correct on paper.
Virtual primary care is a great fit for adults managing routine health concerns - things like high blood pressure, diabetes, weight, kidney disease, or mental health. If you want care that fits into your life instead of the other way around, this is built for you.
Can I get a prescription?
Of course! We can prescribe medications - including up to a full year's supply for ongoing maintenance needs - and manage refills as needed. Every decision is based on your specific history and what's actually going on with your health, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Do you prescribe weight loss meds?
When it's clinically appropriate, yes - including GLP-1 medications. Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your insurance coverage. If your plan doesn't cover these medications, we typically recommend Amazon Pharmacy, which tends to offer the best combination of service and price.
What if I need lab work or imaging?
We can order that during your visit. You'll get a requisition slip by email, which you can take to whichever diagnostic facility is most convenient (LabCorp, Quest, an imaging center near you ... wherever works). Once results come in, your provider reviews them and sends you a full written interpretation. If your results warrant a deeper conversation, we'll reach out to schedule a follow-up.
Are your services covered by insurance?
No. Careborne is a self-pay platform. This allows us to keep our services affordable and accessible without the delays and restrictions often associated with insurance. Our basic consultation is only $54, which included medication prescription, if appropriate.
Can you help me make sense of a specialist's notes?
Absolutely. If you've already seen a specialist, upload their notes when you schedule your appointment. We'll review everything beforehand and walk you through what we think your next steps should be.
