We often encounter patients who, despite having remarkably high blood pressure, refuse to take any medications. We do educate ... about the consequences of untreated hypertension: heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, etc. But, alas, sometimes the voice of reason is not heeded. It's either "natural" or nothing. While not subscribing to this "binary" mindset, we would like to offer an alternative.
The bark of Terminalia arjuna, commonly known as arjuna, has been successfully used to treat chest pain, hypertension, congestive heart failure, rheumatic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and dyslipidemia.
We had our patients try it. The results were amazing! Many were able to cut down on their blood pressure meds. The lucky ones switched from a prescription blood pressure medication to arjuna.
