Telemed Limitations
We think of "virtual visits" as not a replacement for but a supplement to in-person care. Medical conditions that do NOT require a hands-on physical exam can be safely handled through an e-visit. On the other hand, our services are not appropriate for patients who: - Experience a major medical emergency - Have multiple complex health issues - Are confused, self-destructive, or otherwise in “crisis” - Present with vague symptoms or reasons for a visit: “Just not feeling well,” dizziness, etc. - Lack medical justification for a particular medication
