Is this real testosterone?

What are the side effects?

Nothing in life is without its side effects. TRT is no exception. While providing a wealth of health benefits, TRT will have some unfortunate side effects:

Decreased spermatogenesis

TRT significantly suppresses sperm production, which can lead to infertility. If you are trying to conceive, postpone TRT. Another option would be to add HCG to your treatment plan.

Prostate issues

While not directly causing cancer, TRT can stimulate the growth of prostate (BPH) and increase in PSA.

Testicular shrinkage

Long-term TRT can lead to testicular atrophy because the body stops producing its own luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

Blood thickening

A common, but manageable side effect, is increased red blood cell count (erythrocytosis) - in theory increasing the risk of blood clots.

Oily skin, acne, and potential hair loss

These are due to increased conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels. DHT stimulates sebum production (causing oily skin and acne) and shrink hair follicles (causing hair loss).

Fluid retention

Fluid retention is a common albeit mild side effect of TRT caused by increased sodium retention. Fluid retention can cause swelling in the ankles, feet, or hands. It typically occurs when the body adjusts to TRT.

Mood changes

TRT may, in some men, trigger to increased irritability, mood swings, or anxiety.

Breast tenderness and/or enlargement

Breast tenderness, sensitivity, and enlargement (gynecomastia) are common, manageable side effects of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), affecting roughly 10–25% of men. These side effects occur in approximately 15 to 25% of men on TRT due to testosterone aromatization (conversion to estrogen).

Side effects are more pronounced while your body adjusts to the new prescription. They tend to go away after a month or two of staying on the medication.

We exclusively prescribe FDA-approved medications or compounds from 503(a) compounding pharmacies or 503(b) outsourcing facilities.

How much will it cost?

Assuming you’ve already completed the necessary work-up (mainly labs), you will pay $72 for a 3-month prescription. Keep in mind that we do not require a long-term contract (you pay as you go) and do not have any hidden fees. You are in full control.

Why use Careborne?

We’ve helped hundreds of men just like you restore their hormone levels and reclaim their lives. We approach TRT on a holistic basis to make sure you can be comfortable and confident with your plan.

What else can you do for me?

In addition to treating low testosterone, Men’s Clinic @ Careborne offers weight loss medication therapy as well as help with anxiety, insomnia, erectile dysfunction, and other common health conditions.

Can you replace my primary care doctor?

No and we shouldn’t. We believe that everyone is to have a family doc, who knows you well and can guide you on your health journey.

Can I order these medications online?

No, you can’t simply “order” them. You must have a consultation with a licensed health care provider to determine if the medication is appropriate (and safe) for you. It’s important to reiterate that Careborne doctors do not prescribe medications that fall outside of their respective expertise, “on request,” or for performance enhancement.
