Aimovig®
What is it?
Aimovig (erenumab-aooe) is a once-monthly prescription injection used to prevent migraine headaches in adults.
What does it do?
Aimovig is a CGRP receptor blocker. It works by blocking the activity of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a molecule involved in migraine attacks.
By blocking CGRP receptors, Aimovig can reduce the frequency of migraine days each month and help prevent migraines before they occur.
Dosage
Aimovig is available in 70 mg and 140 mg doses.

How do I take it?
Aimovig is self-administered as a subcutaneous injection once a month, typically in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
Follow the injection instructions provided with your medication.
Possible Side Effects
Common or important side effects may include:

Raynaud's phenomenon (episodes of reduced blood flow to the fingers or toes)
